Fissels Auto Sales

Review: On February 21, 2013 I put a $1,000.00 deposit down on a vehicle. The deposit was a debit transaction. After submitting my deposit, I was then given a bill of sale to bring to a credit union to get an auto loan. I was denied the loan due to credit. I returned to the dealer, explained that I was denied and I would try another financial institution for an auto loan. They were willing to hold my deposit on the vehicle until I found a financial institution that would approve me. After two weeks of trying to get approved (to no avail) and keeping in contact with the sales person, I returned to the dealer to get my deposit back. I was told that my deposit was not refundable. This non-refundable clause was not disclosed to me prior to my deposit being submitted. On the original bill of sale that was provided by the dealer, it does state this information, however, I never signed the agreement nor did I ever take possession of any vehicle. I do not think it is a fair business practice that when a customer is turned down for a loan that the seller can refuse to relinquesh funds for a product never received, thus stealing money from the consumer.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for my deposit of $1,000.00. Also, I would like the sales people of Fissels Auto Sales to be more clear with their sales practices and disclose such statements to a potential buyer, prior to any transactions taking place. In addition, if no settlement is reached, I will seek legal action for return of the deposit amount and also for legal fees incurred.
