Lien not filed with courts and I am being charged.
I was delinquent in paying my HOA fees. A letter was mailed to me on 5/5/20 stating that a lien had been filed. When I recieved the letter on the 12th, I paid the the HOA fee but asked if the lien had been filed. I contacted the courts and they did not have record of the lien being filed. I have asked First Service to removed the fees since the lien had in fact NOT been filed with the courts. They refuse to remove the fee. As of today May 19th, 2020 the courts still do not have record of the lien being filed and they are saying the board is demanding the fee before May 30th. I do not feel as though I should have to pay a filing fee for the lien when it has not been filed with the courts. As far as I can tell this is the norm with this HOA.
Remove the filing fee since lien has not been filed prior to May 12th, when I paid the HOA fees.
Ms. account with the Bridges of Summerville Property Owners Association was delinquent. Pursuant to Association policy, the account was turned over to association counsel to prepare a lien. The lien was turned over for processing on 4/27/20. In accordance with association policy, when the account was turned over, it was assessed a lien fee in the amount of $165. The Complainant paid the fee and other charges before the lien was recorded with the County but after the legal services were performed. A smaller balance remains on the account. The Board of Directors of the association decided to not waive the lien fee but has waived $60 in other fees. That the lien was not recorded, also, saved time and additional expense towards preparing and filing a Satisfaction.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The lien was not filed.I should not be charged for that

Please stay away. Worst service ever. They will contact you soon after your call, but they will never take care of your needs as a homeowner. The ladies at the phone and by e-mails (Laidy G, Whitney R) always say the same thing: 'We are sorry. We understand your frustration". And that is all you get. Only disrepect throught the lack of action. Our house has been deteriorating over a year and they do not care! I do not understand how do they get the Revdex.com acreditacion. Is that a fake process?
With respect to the feedback from Maria G M, she's a valued member of the community and her feedback is important to the Association and our team who serves the Association.
This matter involves the exterior repair of her home. After evaluation, the Association determined it had responsibility in overseeing the repair and our role was to help facilitate the repair once the Association had selected a suitable repair vendor. The Association, governed by a board of directors elected by members such as Maria, had identified a repair vendor and work was to begin, however, they were not able to follow through with their commitment to complete the job and another repair vendor was sought. The HOA did communicate with Maria regarding this every step of the way. As of the date of this correspondence, another vendor has been awarded the job by the Association and is scheduled to be begin work soon. They will be contacting Maria directly regarding same. Our office has been in contact with her as well.
We value all owners in the community's that we serve and understand at times, from their vantage point the line can be blurred between the Association, our office and the work we do at the direction of the Association's board of directors. It took some time for the Association and its board to find another suitable vendor capable of making the needed repair. The delay by the HOA was unintended.
Ever since taking over management of our Recreation (Pool) Association in Village Green in Charleston this company has given outstanding service and helped me whenever I needed it. Signing up with this company was the best decision our board ever made!
Do Not use this property management company .. Terrible service from the beginning. I was not on the Board of Directors when this company took over as our property management company in Ellington Woods in the Dunes West community in Mount Pleasant, SC ... I did not vote for this company, but I was a Condo Owner at the time, and when I called the office to ask questions, they never got back to me. I dealt with a representative name, Angela V.. She was rude and never returned calls. When the new property management took over, they had to deal with unpaid bills that First Service never paid. Unprofessional and horrible service. Do Not use this company
