Thank You for your recent letter dated 4/29/20 14. We have reviewed the file for [redacted] Below are our findings.
• [redacted] cosigned a loan for Mr. Jerom e Moore on May 6, 2009
•
class="Apple-tab-span"> Loan documents for said loan are on file, along with all verifications
• The loan accrued interest at a rate of 15% per the term s of the agreement
• A letter went out in error with an incorrect payoff amount which was much less than even the principal portion of the loan.
• The employee who generated the letter is no longer active with the company
• Current policy does not allow for discounts that go below the principal balance paid for the loan. We are meeting to determine if exception can be mad e based on error.
• We have stopped all drafts on the loan and are currently working with student 's counsel to resolve the situation.
• Refund will be resolved with attorney counsel and wired to the agreed upon
account to be provided by student's counsel.
Note: No return call made to student as we were advised the file is attorney handle
Review: Company wrote checks off my bank account from 2009 to 2014 without my authorization and after I closed the account/ paid in full. They said they would refund the money but has not. They said they were sorry but no explanation of why.
The employee or employees at this company withdrew over 9,000 from my bank account with fraudulent checks.
I do have a lawyer as well.Desired Settlement: I need for this company to have to answer for what they have done. This is clearly fraud and if they did it to me they have done it to others. I am an older lady on a fixed income, and if I did not know how to check my statements they would have gotten away with this for good.
