Mrs*** brought her rocking chair into our business to have repairs done (reglue the frame - $74.50) on July 12, 2017. At that time, our repair queue was 6-weeks and that was written as an estimated completion timeframe on her copy of the invoice. Her rocking chair also needed
the woven cane seat replaced. We offer that service through our caning company and she was given a separate invoice (replace the cane seat - $145.00). The additional lead time for caning at that time was - weeks and that was also written on her copy of the caning invoice.The repairs were completed within the timeframe stated, and the chair went on to the caning process. Unfortunately our craftsman that replaces caning did suffer a heart attack in August and could not perform any cane work for weeks. This pushed all cane work in our queue farther out than expected.Mrs*** was notified of this when she called to check on the status and she was told that we would call her when the chair was ready to be picked up.The caning was completed November 8th, and was in our inspection queue to make sure the job was done correctly.Mrs*** called our business November 11th, and complained about the wait time for her rocking chairShe was told that her chair was ready.She asked to speak with the owner, I returned her call and left a message apologizing for the wait time and offering to deliver her chair to her home in Castle Rock (normally $delivery fee) at no charge and we removed the charge for the repairs ($74.50). As of this writing, she has scheduled the free delivery for this afternoon - Monday Nov 13,
