Revdex.com of Utah,The complaint made against First Class Rentals can not be any further from the truth. We received a phone call from Lata T[redacted] around 6 o'clock p.m. (Friday June 12th, 2015) on the evening of their second rental day. Upon receiving the phone call from Lata I asked some "trouble...
shooting" questions. Her responses to my questions led me to believe that they had sucked up a rock into the impeller while operating the equipment in too shallow of water. Lata had two other members in her party call and say they did not suck anything up and they were sure it was a bad battery. Although I believed they had sucked up rocks, I instructed them of how to safely jump start a watercraft from another watercraft so they could use both watercrafts for rest of the evening. I received another call from someone in the T[redacted] party demanding a refund, or requesting to keep the equipment for another day because of their troubles with the down machine. Against our policy and our better judgement we allowed them to return both PWC at noon instead of their scheduled 9a.m. return. They finally returned the equipment after 4 p.m. When the watercrafts were returned Lata and myself went over the machines together and I showed her the large rocks lodged in both machines. As I had suspected, she also told me they had sucked up a rope in one of the watercrafts and they had to cut it out. I also explained to her the damages would be extensive due to the visible hull and impeller damage. Most powersport repair shops this time of year are 2-3 weeks out, we do our best to find an affordable shops for estimates and repairs so our customers are not charged with "Loss of Rental" in addition to the damages. First Class Rentals instructs our customers with the safest equipment operating procedures with a 20 minute safety instructions upon departure, as well as specific rules and regulations stated within our rental equipment. Damage is preventable when instructions are followed. However, in this case it is clear that instructions were not followed and damage was the result. We document all departures and returns with dated and time stamped images as well as walk around the PWC with our customers to ensure the accuracy of damages.
