First Choice Painting & Remodeling

I would recommend staying away from Old VA realestate. In the 3 years that we rented from them, there were multiple issues with the property which went unhandled. The final result was a notice to vacate. Upon contacting Montgomery County Housing department and having an inspection, Old Va Real Estate and the owner were required to make multiple repairs to the house which we had been complaining about. These included:
1. Installing a window which could be operated in the second bedroom (of my 1 year old daughter) The window installed had a glass panel obscuring all window functions and eliminating the possibility of escape.
2. Installing Other windows for proper ventilation (as all other windows also had glass pannels infront of them - ostensibly to keep the other 1970's crank casements from leaking during the winter.
3. Installing new dryer vent - the one we had complained about was longer than code allowed, was not the proper material. This created 2 issues: 1 lint and fire hazard, 2. in the winter it would collect water because it was run through an unheated attic. Eventually this along with improper site drainage for a slab on the ground, caused a mold and water issue in the rest of the house.

I made several repairs to the building as authorized by the Agent, but they sent inexperienced repairmen who were often late and smoked even when asked not to around an infant.

Please just avoid.
