Review: On January 17, 2015, I attempted to use my [redacted] card and it was declined. I went home and called [redacted] to discover that my [redacted] card had been used fraudulently. I asked about several other charges and was told that [redacted] could only decline the recent charges but that others charges had already been processed and I would need to speak with my bank. I went to the First Bristol Federal Credit Union and dealt with all of the charges, except one. There was one charge to [redacted] for $277.70. I explained that I had contacted [redacted] directly regarding the transaction and they verified that the charge was under another name and would investigate it. The person at the credit union said that I should NOT resolve (receive reimbursement for) that fraudulent usage since [redacted] was investigating it. She said that if it was not resolved then I should go back to the credit union and they would reimburse me then. [redacted] finally stated that it is the bank's responsibility to reimburse the funds, not theirs. So today, March 31, 2015, I went back to my credit union and explained that [redacted] would not reimburse the fraudulent charge. I was told that unfortunately 60 days have passed so they can not reimburse the funds. I questioned why I was not told that there was a specific amount of time to resolve the issue. One of the tellers that was nearby came over and said that she remembered me coming in that day and the conversation and said, "They really should have told you that there was a 60 day time restriction." The credit union's response was to call [redacted] and see if they could help me because it is beyond the 60 days. I feel that they should have either resolved the issue when I initially brought it to their attention or explained their policy.Desired Settlement: I would like for the credit union/[redacted] to refund the already confirmed fraudulent charges of $277.70 on my [redacted] card.
