Senior Buyers Beware!!! On 7/an appointment was made to repair a leak in a new (less than 4K miles) *** tire on a *** Estimate was $ minutes after dropping the car off I was called and advised the nail was too close to the sidewall to be repaired and a new tire was neededI specifically asked "Do you have the same tire?" and was told "Yes" I trusted them and felt that I had no choice other than to replace with the "same" tire, so I gave the OK Now the cost is almost $ When I returned there was no *** on the car but there was a Firestone When I complained that I was told that I was told that the "same" tire was available, my comment was met with silence When I viewed the old tire, the small nail was approximately 3/inch from the outside and didn't appear to be a fatal I'm a year old vet who trusted someone In retrospect, I should have had them remove the tire and put the old one back on, so shame on me I learned an expensive lesson todayDon't make the same mistake at Firestone on Roselle and Wise Roads in Schaumburg, and don't trust these guys
