Kind of says it all. We had temporary help to deal with office stuff. Owner is out sick. An envelope got stuffed, according to recipient, incorrectly. I apologized and assured him we wiil do our best in the future to  double check out going correspondence.

Review: I received an envelope in the mail, presumably pertaining to taxes from this business in which I had previously been employed. Realizing that this letter had my personal information displayed across the front (full name, address, and social security number), I immediately began video-taping the envelope with my cellular phone. During the video, I noted that I had not tampered with the envelope in any way and that it was in fact still sealed, just the way they had sent it. I then cut the roll on that video. Next, I retrieved the house phone and called this business' phone, while video-taping this conversation from beginning to end with my cellular phone. I was notified by [redacted] (who is another employee) that [redacted] (business owner/ keeper of records and books) had been out for a couple weeks prior to tax season, and that they had a person come in to deal with the book-keeping in Pam's stead. I was not given a name of this temporary employee.Desired Settlement: Due to the fact that my identity (along with others') very well could be out there for those who desire to take advantage of it, I want this matter to be resolved by any legal means. Not only is my personal information potentially up in the air and vulnerable, but the other employees of this business could be facing the same thing I am.
