In October of last year a representative of Fire and Ice came by to handle regular maintenance of my unit. My contract was coming due and I was looking into going with another company due to deteriorating service levels over the previous two years. The Technician had my paperwork and I noticed that the something was written in my order stating that my business was not important because I paid my contract amount in installments. He was kind enough to advise that these were entered by the owner and apologized for the comments. I didn’t want to sign with a company that didn’t value me as a customer. He convinced me that it would not happen again and to avoid my service lapsing, I sign on for another three years and was offered a free duct cleaning and filter. I paid the full contract amount under the condition that he is the only tech who would service my unit. He verified that he would put that in the file. The check cleared on 9/24/2013 and I never heard back from the company regarding the duct cleaning or the free filter. March passed and I also didn't receive a call to schedule my semiannual service. On 4/13/2013 my unit stopped working and I called their emergency number as well as their office and left a message for someone to call me back to see if they could come by and work on my unit. I didn't hear from them that Saturday or Sunday and reached out to another vendor for service. I had my unit repaired by the new vendor and decided to terminate my contract with Fire and Ice. They have not done any maintenance on my unit since September of last year and I believe they are in breach of contract since they didn't fulfill the terms of the contract. I called their office 4/17, 5/14, 5/28, 6/11 and 6/25 asking to have a manager return my call to discuss termination of my contract and a refund on the remaining part of the warranty, I have yet to hear from them. I called again today 8/12, at 11.30 am and asked that the manager contact me regarding my contract. This company's work ethic is below par and I would not recommend their services to anyone.
