Review: FFF Sports had a booth at a local gun show this past month. My Girlfriend and I were there as she was secretly shopping for a specific type of christmas present she had been saving up, for me. FFF sports had been advertising a gun that met her description. A semi-automatic/autoloader 12 gauge shotgun. After the representative for FFF sports re-assured both of us that the gun had this main repeating feature, I filled out my end of the necessary paperwork to begin the background check/Ten day waiting process. On the day I went to pick up my fully paid for product, I found out only then that the gun had been misrepresented completely. I refused to take posession of the gun and requested a refund but only a partial refund was offered. A partial refund is unacceptable which is why the gun will continue to sit in there possession. I can't beleive people are willing to treat customers in this manner
Product_Or_Service: Remington 12Gauge shotgun
Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund
We would like to recieve all of the $491.87 returned without penalty of a re-stock fee, as we never took posession of the gun. No 15% sale fees. The salses tax and Dros fees chartged to us should all be returned as the gun was falsely advertised and sold in the first place.

Initial Business Response
On November 2 & 3, 2013, a gun show was held at Paradise, CA which FFF Sports bought a booth and sold guns & accessories. We did not advertise any gun or pricing for the show. When Mr. [redacted] came in on Sat, I personally was not at the booth, but I was told, as is normal, he held and handled the gun in question. It is an 870 Remington pump action shotgun. The employees have been around guns for many years and can easily distinguish between a pump and a semi-automatic. That is taught in beginner hunter safety. I'm sure it was never presented as a semi-auto. When Mr. [redacted] came in to pick up the shotgun, he said this was not the gun he bought. The serial# is on the sales sheet. It is the same gun. He then demanded a Semi-auto at the same price, so I offered him a Savage or Mossberg semi-auto for about a $150.00 more. Mr. [redacted] said he bought a Remington semi-auto and wanted it at the $425.00 price of the Remington pump. A Remington semi-auto Model 11-87 sells for $940.00. At this point I offered to take back the gun and give him a refund of $393.12 ($491.87 minus 15% restock chg of $63.75 and minus the $35.00 DROS fee). This was unacceptable to him, so he left without the shotgun. Mr. [redacted] came back on Nov 25 while I was out or busy and picked up the Remington 870 shotgun. He was back within an hour demanding a full refund because we had misrepresented the gun. The price tag had on it that it was a semi-auto. Whether we accidentally wrote semi-auto on the tag or it just magically appeared, I don't know. I did take back the shotgun and refunded the full amount less the DROS fee, which we pay at the time of registration. The DROS fee goes to the state and there is no refund to us. Mr. [redacted] still wants a Remington semi-auto shotgun for $425.00. Attached are copies of page 2 & 3 of Form 4473 and a copy of the sales receipt.
Final Consumer Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I took several copies and pictures of the tag stating semi-auto which was still attached to the gun. I as the customer should not be penaltied for trusting an ffl to tell me when something is misrepresented, accident or not, fault completely lies with FFF sports as the owner [redacted] admitted to me. Based on that being their mistake, FFF sports should cover the DROS fees. If the employees are so well taught to be able to destinguish the difference in this traight of gun, all the more reason the mistake and all fees should be on fff sports.
