I am in receipt of the above-mentioned complaint and have investigated it with the Circulation staff and performed an audit of the customer's accountI have no evidence of the customer's previous complaints nor evidence of their leaving telephone messagesWe have received other customer messages
during the time period in question so we feel that our message management system is functionalWe regret that the customer has had an unsatisfactory experience and that they have since canceled their subscriptionOur customer service worker advised me that she informed the customer of theTimes' customary $cancellation fee, and that it would be deducted from their account refund, resulting in their credit balance of $I don't see any evidence of a refund of the three days of service in question (because I also see no notice of the associated complaints)So today I am mailing the customer $in cash (three issues as the bulk rate associated with their account agreement.)
