We purchased a 2014 Fleetwood Storm 28MS class A motor home from Findlay Truck and RV. We liked everything about the unit. The sales representative (***) even added some other items that were required for the unit. When we were inspecting the outside of the unit, we noticed tape above the awning. This tape is at the edge of the roof and running the entire length (28'). When questioned about the tape, *** indicated that the tape was only there to enhance the sealing affect of the caulking that prevents leaks. Since the tape was only one one side, we questioned his reasoning. Based on our discussion, we still purchased the unit on *** 13th. We took the unit to an independent RV service provider (RV Clinic - Springboro OH). RV Clinic indicated that the roof was damaged and must be replaced (estimate to repair - about $7,000). We we spoke to *** concerning this, he indicated that the roof was functional and is not leaking. *** said that anything that Findlay RV could do would be "cosmetic". We believe that Findlay Truck and RV did not disclose a significant issue with the unit. It is our opinion that Findlay Truck and RV did not tell us the true condition of the roof. This knowledge would have had a significant impact on our decision to purchase. Findlay Truck and RV used sales deception. They should be held liable and make the repair the roof of our unit at their expense to our satisfaction.

As stated in customers case description customer was aware of the roof patching on the roof before purchase. Customer had visited the dealership 3 or 4 times to inspect motor home before purchasing. We had discussed the patching being there and customer was well aware of the patching before purchasing. Customer had contacted me after taking possession of the motor and expressed concerns about the roof I had offered the customer to bring the motor home in and I would be happy to have my service department take another look. I have been in constant communication with the customer. Customer as since agreed to bring motor home in to have my service department take a closer look.
