Review: I took my Singer Sewing machine to this shop to be cleaned and oiled(if needed), I took the machine to this shop 9 weeks ago. Was told that he would clean and oil and nothing else unless we were contacted. Did not hear anything for about 4 weeks, went to the shop and was told that my machine had not been looked at yet.Was told that he would call. Did not hear anything for 2 more weeks, so we went back to the shop and again was told he has not had time to look at it, that he was going to work over the weekend and would call me. Got a call on 4/19 at 3:36 pm. and was told that he would not do anything until he talked to me. I called him back and he told me that he did not think that he could fix my machine that after he worked on it the tension was messed up. I told him that it had to be what ever he did, because the machine was working fine and again I told him he was only to clean and oil if needed nothing else. Did not hear from him for 2 more weeks, so went to the shop, when we went in he was on the phone, and asked what we wanted, told him that we wanted to pick up the Singer Machine 1425, told us that he did not know what to do about the tension, my husband then asked him about how much longer it was going to be and he started to yell at my husband and myself. At that time I told him just put the machine back together and I will find someone else to fix what ever he did to it. He refused to give my machine and insisted that we will pay for his time and labor which is going to be over $150.00 over. This machine is now over 30 years old and when I bought it new from the Singer Sewing Shop in our local mall I only paid $300.00 it so how can he think that I would pay more for what he did than the machine is worth today. Again this machine was working perfectly when I took it to him and now if he can't fix it I am out of a machine because of what he did to it. As of today we are now at 9 weeks that he has had my machine. I'm not sure what I need to do to get my machine back.Desired Settlement: Fix my sewing machine and if he has damaged it I feel like he owes me a new one because there was nothing wrong with this machine we I took it to him.
