In regards to the time issue. It is our hope to install granite with in one day, however, sometimes that is not possible due to a variety of issues that are unforeseen until time of installations. This client had such problems: the cabinets were out of square and out of level which...
resulted in a second a trip that required extra work and time, which we did at no additional charge to the client. Our contracts due not have time restraints listed for this vary reason. We have every intention to still come out and fix her issue. The day of the service call we attempted several times and left messages with no return call.In regards to the dishwasher- We did not remove the dishwasher or touch any electric to her dishwasher. It is our practice to adjust the feet and turn off the water valve. We do not reconnect any plumbing and that is in writing on the estimate and invoice. This was communicated to the client and we also informed her to hire a plumber which client did. Tammy R. Pesce Marble and Granite
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, here is my response to the business:
In response to the time issue:My complaint exists due to the consequences of the company being late and not doing a final inspection of the job. I was told from the beginning the install would take one day. It turned into a three day project, or rather 2 half days and a third day for a service call which has yet to occur. The project would have been a single day if the workers had showed up when they were supposed to and work a full day (8 to 9 hour shift). Instead they worked two half days (4-5 hour shifts). Because they did not do a final inspection of their work another service call is needed to glue the two open areas. At no time during any of my communications with the business prior to the install was I ever told that the project would take more than one day. This would have been crucial information to share with a client. In response that there was no additional charge to the client for the extra work: Of course there would be no additional charge. We had an agreement and estimate signed prior to the install. In response to the previously scheduled service call: There were not several attempts to contact me the day of the appointment. The service call was scheduled for 4 PM and at 3:58 PM I received a phone call (voicemail) notifying me that the appointment was cancelled. Clearly someone knew before 3:58PM that no one was coming to my home. Again, this would've been crucial information to share with a client at least 1 hour in advance, as I would not have taken additional time off of work only to waste my time and have nobody show up. We want the job finished and to move past all of this. Please let us know what day someone can come to our home during the week after 5 PM to finish the job. Our complaint may seem trivial to the business, but understand that we saved for years to pay for new countertops and paid over $4000 for Pesce’s services. One would think clients that pay several thousand dollars would receive more courteous service. In addition, it is very difficult for us to take time away from work which is why there is frustration on our end. My boss is battling cancer and is going through aggressive chemotherapy. I do my best to complete her work so she can focus on getting well. We have held up our end of this agreement by being home when asked to be for your services and promptly paying invoices. We only expected to have the services completed when we were told they would be, and/or someone to communicate with us in advance (before paying any deposit) of the different completion time possibilities. We look forward to resolving this matter soon.
