Ms*** failed to show up for her 8am appointment which was scheduled for an hour and ten minutes on 5/19/Our office made multiple attempts to confirm this appointment via email, text and voicemails starting on 5/17/Ms*** failed to respond to any of these messages to either
confirm the appointment or cancel and reschedule. Ms*** had previously failed an appointment scheduled for an hour and thirty minutes in our office on 3/9/It is our office policy, after a failed new patient appointment, to obtain a credit card# to hold on fileMs*** was made aware that if another appointment was cancelled without hours notice, or she failed to show for an appointment, $cancel/no show fee would be applied. She agreed and gave us her credit card informationAfter no response from Ms*** for days in regards to her 5/19/appointment, she called the office @ 9am to dispute the charge and attempted to rescheduleI, again, made her aware of our office policy regarding late cancellations and no showsWhen I asked Ms*** if she had received any of our messages she told me she "works hour shifts" and "just wanted to reschedule"Our office took extra ordinary measures to contact Ms*** without ANY response from her. Ms*** did not show any regard or concern about failing two appointments which could have been given to other patients who need care. As office manager I am required to uphold the office cancelation policyI spoke to Ms*** in a professional and courteous manner and did not hang up on her as I believed the conversation to be over and said "goodbye". Our office prides itself on our honesty integrity, and professionalism and feel that we are justified in upholding our cancellation policy *** ***Office Manager
