Owner Cleve Bruce F and I have a signed contract for repairs to my concrete driveway. We had a signed contract of the amount of $7,389.00 with a 10 year warranty. Mr. F ended up charging an extra $1,100.00. Mr. F did not provide me with a breakdown for the extra cost. My driveway had different thickness of concrete, he showed my mother and said he had to bring some dirt to spread on the shallow areas before pouring the concrete. This work was performed on Thursday, June 11th, 2020. Mr. F told my mother he needed to get to the bank before it closed, so my mother paid him in full and the subcontractor *** was almost finished with the job and Mr. F did not return after he was paid. *** damaged the concrete ledge at my garage door. Mr. F was aware of the damage and said he would send one of the employees from *** to repair it. In the meantime, we noticed a crack in the new concrete that went from one end of the driveway across to the other side. We called and texted Mr. F and he will not return our calls or text.
After no response from Mr. F, we called the subcontractor *** out of Mobile, Alabama, to ask them if the crack in the concrete was normal and the response was no it should not have cracked all the way across. And he was willing to stop by to look at the driveway, however, he never showed up after we texted Mr. F to tell him that they were coming to look at the driveway.
So now, we have paid the total of $8,489.00 with a 10 year warranty. We have a crack across the driveway and the damage part in front of the garage with no response from Mr. F.
