The jacket was brought into Festival Cleaners in “Like New” Condition. The jacket had no stains/burns/marks on it what-so-ever. I purchased the jacket second hand and have pictures and the website write-up explaining that the jacket was in “Like New” Condition. I took the jacket to Festival Cleaners as soon as I was able to after I purchased the jacket. I did not wear the jacket before giving it to Festival Cleaners.
If I had brought the jacket in with this damage as Festival Cleaners is claiming, why wasn’t it noticed upon acceptance at the cleaner and why did they attempt to “redo” the jacket twice?
I have brought several hundred dollars of business to Festival Cleaners, I do not have the time to try to scam them out of $28.00 for the cost that I paid for the jacket and the cost of the original cleaning.
My next step is small claims court, where I will ask for full retail of the jacket since it was a one of a kind (roughly $100.00). I have been advised that I can request Festival Cleaners pay for court costs as well, and I intend to do so, can this not be resolved here.
