Fernando's Custom Painting

Mr. [redacted] has refused to provide my company with a Form W-9 so that I can issue him a Form 1099 for the amounts paid for his services.In August and September 2015, Fernando's Custom Painting, LLC, also known as Fernando Painting, performed painting work for my business and charged me $4,100. I have paid Mr. [redacted] in full; however, he did not provide a Form W-9 for me at the time of payment.I have made multiple requests in writing for him to complete a W-9 so that my company can report his earnings on a Form 1099 to the IRS as required by law. I have provided Mr. [redacted] with multiple options for completing and sending the form to me, and I even sent him a link directly to the form on the IRS website. In spite of my repeated requests, Mr. [redacted] has refused to cooperate with me and complete the Form W-9.When Mr. [redacted] offers his painting services to rehabbing companies like mine, we should not have to chase after him to provide the paperwork we need to run our businesses. I pointed out to Mr. [redacted] that he is required by law to complete a W-9, but apparently he believes these laws do not apply to him. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide to encourage Mr. [redacted] to obey the law and provide my company with his tax information so that he can pay his fair share of taxes./////Desired SettlementProvide my company with a completed and signed Form W-9 by email or regular mail to the addresses previously provided./////Business Response Fernando Painting LLC received this complaint a month ago, and since has sent the Customer the requested W-9 Form via email for customers connivance.
