I received a phone call from this customer explaining he was in STL and he had a vehicle here in MtVernon, that he was needing repaired to sell , the first question he asked me was if we had the equipment at our shop to communicate with the vehicle and the scanner, because he has this vehicle at an other shop here in town that was trying to fix his no start condition and they now have lost the ability to communicate with their scanner and his vehicle I told him yes we would be able to communication and get his vehicle starting and running again He told me it would be tow to my shop that same dayThe vehicle was towed in and was pushed in to our shop and it was apparent this vehicle has been thru the ringer ( so to say ) The under carriage plastic was hanging down and rubbing driveway , the shifter plastics where tore apart laying in vehicle , there were lots of issues other than what he had hired us to fix which was no start condition , We did exactly what he wanted us to doWe had know Idea that he wasn't aware of the condition of this vehicle, He had stated it had been sitting for quit awhile After vehicle was fixed , he payed us and then had vehicle towed off our lot I don't understand why this customer thinks we should be responsible for the shifter cable, when the vehicle came to us like that and the fix to his vehicle had us no where around the shifter cable , So I decline paying for something I didn't have no part in doing I take my job very seriously and I am the most honest person , shop owner in this town I know this because i'm told this by all my customers and I retain My customer base because of that We strive to make each and every customer that walks in my shop as satisfied and happy as a shop can Thank You , Shelley Felty
