On May 5, 2017 we were contacted by Mr. [redacted] regarding the issue with a line in the picture. We contacted the extended warranty company to begin the claim process and scheduled a service call with the customer. On May 10, 2017 we determined that the LCD panel was defective causing the line in the...
picture. We contacted Warrantech later that day and submitted that information for their review. They informed us they would contact the customer to make the necessary arrangements once they approve our diagnosis, which they stated could be several days. We then contacted the customer and informed them Warrantech should be contacting them within a few days. When Mr. [redacted] contacted us quite some time later to tell us he had yet to be contacted by Warrantech, we placed a call to determine the issue. The representative stated they were still reviewing the claim but it showed they were expecting to exchange the set for the customer. We asked them to please contact the customer immediately to update them and they stated they would. Again we contacted the customer to let them know to expect a call. On May 31, 2017 the customer contacted us to let us know they still had not received a call and demanded we get the warranty company to take action. We called Warrantech and spoke with a representative named Janicia who stated they would contact the customer within about an hour and a half. When the call never took place we again contacted Warrantech who informed us they had emailed an offer to the Marshalls. Mr. [redacted] stated he would check it out when he returned home. After reviewing the offer Mr. [redacted] contacted us to ask advice. He stated they were offering either a settlement of $1700 or an LG UHD 75 inch TV as a replacement. Since the LG TV they offered originally sold for about $3000 (the price of televisions decreases considerably every year) and is a comparable model to the [redacted] product, we advised him to take the TV.
I am rejecting this response because:
We were promised by feist tv they would handle any problems when we purchased the tv they have not. We purchased the 5 year warranty from them. The situation would be different if the warranty company would respond to us and the situation was resolved in a timely manner but it's still not done. We have yet to hear from the warranty co and it's now June 13.
