Review: The Department of Education was garnishing my husbands wages due to an unresolved student loan. After we received our tax check in April of this year, I called and settled (paid off) the loan. Unfortunately the wage garnishment didnt stop right away. I placed a call to them in early June in an attempt to recover the funds they had overgarnished....I was told 'no problem, however it could take up to 90 days'. Completely ridiculous, but okay. That takes us to September...when I had still not received a check, and another call was placed. In that call I was told they were a little backed up on refunds, however they had our request and it would get here. So here it is October...when I still hadn't recieved a check...we called yet again...and were told it should come any day. We still have yet to receive any check or notification from them...Desired Settlement: We would really just like our money back.
