Greatest in the AC Business hey they showed up on time did a super job at my home Thank you
Review: [redacted] the owner and technician was dishonest and misrepresented what actually needed replaced on my air conditioning unit.
My Air conditioner stopped working on June 6, 2013 so I called Feather River Aire out to take a look at it. [redacted], the technician and the owner, diagnosed it as a bad compressor but recommended that I buy a whole new AC unit. He quoted $1650 for a new compressor, plus $65 a pound for freon X 13 pounds which is another $845. Or he suggested that I buy a new AC unit for $3200 that comes with a 5 year warranity. My house was built in 2006 and was empty for 2 years so I know the AC unit had only been used for 5 years. For new AC unit to go bad after such a short time seemed odd to me. I researched and found out that it was more than likely the capacitor. If it looks like an exploded soda can then it's bad. I pulled the cover off and sure enough that's what it looked like. I took it to an electronic supply store and the man behind the counter knew what I was there for before I asked. He said "you got a blown capacitor there" I bought it and went home and installed it. $45 later and my AC was nice and cold again. [redacted], the owner and the technician had to have known that it was the capacitor. The guy at the supply store knew right off so I know [redacted] with his years of servicing and installing HVAC systems had to have known that the capacitor was blown. He was trying to get one over on me because it just happened to be 113 degrees that weekend. He was trying to steal for me, he's a crook! I wonder how many other people he has charged for replacements parts that worked just because people trusted him. He charged me $69 to come out and do what he did. I just want refunded the $69 and for him to replace the smart spot fuse he blew.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded $69.00 and the cost of a spot spot fuse that he blew while checking out my system.

Here is the receipt. Upon closer review they wrote the wrong address on the receipt. Also my girlfriend was the one home at the time of his service call so her name is on the receipt.
