I purchased a car from the dealership on Saturday, May 28, 2016. On the way home that day, the check engine light came on we were about 20 miles from the dealership. On Monday morning I called the dealership about the light, because the car did not have an inspection sticker on it, so I knew the car had not been inspected and the check engine light was on. I was instructed to bring the car back to the dealership and they would fix the car and get it inspected. I returned the car to the dealership on Tuesday, May 31st. I spoke with them on Wednesday, June 8,2016 and was informed that the car needed more exhaust repair than he was willing to pay for, but that if I could put in another $500.00 he would cover the rest. I agreed and took him the money on Thursday, June 9, 2016. I continued to call the dealer and his mechanic, Manny, for the next couple of weeks and the car was not ready and it was taking more than what they had expected. Then on Saturday, June 25, 2016, Manny called me to inform me he was taking the car back to the dealer to drop it off and that I could get it from the dealer. I went to the dealer on Saturday, June 25, 2016. I was told the car was repaired and had been inspected. I was asked at that time if I had the original paperwork that was given to me on May 28th when I had purchased the car. I said yes and he asked it he could see it, at that time he shredded the original paperwork and told me he needed to give me new paperwork because of the repairs. I signed the paperwork, took the keys and left. After reviewing the paperwork, I noticed the price I paid for the car was different than the amount I had originally paid. His explanation was because he needed to take out his repair cost. Not sure, I excepted his explanation. June of 2017 we took the car to get it's annual inspection and we were told it wouldn't pass *** that the check engine light should be on but it isn't. I took it to a mechanic and he found the bulb for the light was removed and no repairs don.

Repair I would like to have this car repaired as we had originally discussed and I paid for, given my money back on the car or given a car with a value the same as my purchase price which can be inspected by the state of Texas and driven. This company should not be able to say they did some work, not do it, cover it up by removing a bulb so the lights do not show up to indicate a problem. My son could have been injured driving this car because we had no knowledge anything was wrong.
