The Faust Funeral Home Inc. issued the check as quickly as possible after we reviewed the file and spoke with our accountant to make sure a error had not occurred. Review: When my mother died she had a burial account. I asked David F[redacted] of Faust Funeral Home in [redacted] PA what was the amount of money he received from the burial account and he told me that he could not recall the exact amount but that it came to just about what the funeral costs were. I have copies of the check that he received from the burial account as well as the funeral bill marked paid in full. The difference amounts to $445.20. When he got the burial account check there is a notation made by the bank that the funeral home representative will notify the person about the overpayment. I have called David F[redacted] repeatedly. On one occasion he told me that he would have his accountant check into the matter. He never got back to me and has not returned my other phone calls. A lawyer sent him a letter but he never responded to the letter. I feel that his conduct is reprehensible and wonder how many other people he has done this to.Desired Settlement: My mother had a burial account for $11,103.20 and her funeral costs were $10,658.00. The difference is $445.20 plus whatever attorney fees will be incurred in my efforts to have David F[redacted] return what does not belong to him.
