- She refused to quote me a price upfront for a dress hem and opening up seems at the hipsNever have I ever experienced that with a tailorWhile I asked her how much she thought it would cost, she couldn't give an estimate until she started to work on the dressWhile working on the dress, she didn't even call to update me on what the cost would beHowever, she did say another hemming of a dress was $What should have been a $alteration AT MOST turned out to be $With experience, which Mae has, a tailor will always know how much to charge and provides a quote +/- $of that quoteBut it seemed intentional to not quote price upfront for the purpose of upcharging later onHaving read other reviews on ***, it seems that she does this often

Fashion Center of [redacted] ([redacted]) was bought October 1, by Rosemarie W[redacted]. MrH[redacted] S[redacted] is no longer a part of the store but he is in contact with the complainant trying to resolve her problem including buying the garment to cover her costs
The garment in question was brought in Sept when still owned and controlled by MrS[redacted] who has taken full responsibility for the resolution of this issue. The complaint was that the alterations done to the gown irreparably damaged it and that it has a coffee stain on it. No coffee stain was evident on the garment when presented to Fashion Center for alternations
Despite several requests that the complainant return the gown for repairs she refused to work with us to make the repairs we offeredUnfortunately, she preferred to complain to the Revdex.com. I feel confident we could have solved the problem but her lack of patience stood in the way
We are sorry the complainant is not happy with the alterations. We seek to keep all or our customers happy and satisfied including those that had work done before we took over. We are still available to her to work on her problem if she desires
Please address and further correspondence to fw[redacted].net
