Tool repair
Took my Milwaukee expander tool in to have repaired and they lost it, three months now with no replacement and no answers.I run a plumbing business the tool is a thousand dollars and I can’t just run out and buy a new one because they lost it. Come on!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
When I initially called Farrell Equip, I told them...

my needs and they were well aware that we weren't professional concrete workers. If you need to be to run their saw that should be stated. Instead I told them we need a saw that was the most user friendly. They recommended the cut and break. They also told me that the best thing to do for the size of job we had would be to buy the blades. Which would have been fine if the saw was actually working the way it should. I would also like to state that we were never shown a comparison between two sets of blades. When we brought the saw back the following morning, we requested to them to try the saw out and was told they don't have a place they could test the saw on. So they must have found something to test it on after we left?? I would also like to point out that we rented that saw On October 15 at 9 am, brought it back at 4:45 pm the same night, took it back home, and with in 5 min the blades came shooting off. We returned it by 7:30 the following morning. We didn't even have the saw for 24 hours so the value of time we had it was not $250. After looking for another place to get a saw to finish the rest of the windows, we did find another place in Eau Claire that rents cut and break saws. That saw worked perfectly. We got the last cut on the the first window cut and all three of the others in 6 hours. With the Ferrell saw we got 3/4 of a window cut in about the same amount of time. And still have 50% of the blades left. Not only did Ferrell provide poor customer service, but they also lied about the happenings. If they are willing to lie about the happenings they obviously don't care about their customers and don't care to make things right. That fine, lesson learned and we will be sure to recommend the other company to others and share our story with people looking to rent equipment.

Bottom line is we can’t take back blades that were
used.  They used them with our saw, and
they must have used them with someone else’s saw.  We let them use our saw for free, so I don’t
know how we can get any cheaper for them.
They said the saw didn’t work so we refunded 100% of the money for the
rent on the saw.
We were never able to duplicate the problem with the saw
that they said they were having.  We
checked it out and were not able to find a problem but we still gave them their
money back for the saw.  It sounds like
the customer still used the blades to finish the job, so do they still want a
refund on the blades even now after the job is finished?? There was no issue as
far as the quality, or performance of the blades, so I do not understand why
they are still pressing the issue. The blades did what they were supposed to.  (I guess they want someone to pay for their
work.  I guess that is the problem with
some people in this country.)
 The customer also
stated that the blades fell off and went flying across the yard.  We are not sure how that would happen.  It seems pretty impossible.  If the blades came off, that would mean the
bolts would have had to go flying too, and they were all intact when the saw
was returned. It all sounds a bit ridiculous.
We will not give them their money back for the blade that
they purchased and used.  End of story.

Review: On Wednesday, October 15 we rented a cut and break saw from Farrell Equipment. We also were required to purchase the set of blades that went along with the saw. The saw rental was $125/day and the blades were $250. After using the saw for about 6 hours and getting hardly anywhere, the saw was binding up and the blades fell off the saw. I took the saw down to Ferrell as they were about to close in about 15 minutes. Told them what happened, and told them I just wanted my money back. I was told they were taking the saw to the shop to look at it and see what the problem was. I was told that the belt was worn that was making the saw not work right, they wanted to replace the belt, and have me take it back home and they would give me the following day to use the saw free of charge. I waited at the business for them to get done replacing the belt. After getting home, my husband used the saw for about 10 more minutes, and it was already binding up. He turned it off, and when he restarted it, the blades came spinning off the saw again at a very high rate of speed, and thank God no one was standing in the direction it was pointing because they shot across the lawn and hit the lp tank. I said that is enough, and we didn't use it. My husband took the saw back before 8 am the next morning and told them what happened. The one worker was very helpful and was going to return the whole amount we had paid which was $300 cash at the time of rental. Another employee came up and said they weren't going to refund the money for the blades we bought, because we purchased them and they were not taking them back. After going around with them for a while, they wouldn't do anything and claimed nothing is wrong with that saw. There is no reason that after 10 minutes or less of work, the blades should come shooting off, especially when they are the ones that put the blades on the saw both times when they came off. We offered to give the blades back also, as long as they refunded our money, because the blades do us not good with a improperly working saw. They would not work with us. Only gave us back $36.25, which is the remainder of the $300 after you subtract the $250 blades and the 13.75 tax. I feel this is very poor customer service when they're business was not keeping up the equipment as it should be.Desired Settlement: The money back for the blades that do us NO good.
