This is in response to the above-referenced Complaint submitted by [redacted]. You will see from the Complaint, and Farm Credit Mid-America (FCMA) agrees, that Mr. [redacted] applied for a loan at FCMA. As Mr. [redacted] states, Mr. [redacted]’s loan request was submitted to FCMA underwriting for review.

this Response, it is not necessary for FCMA to either confirm or deny Mr. [redacted]’s statements regarding the availability or amount of Mr. [redacted]’s present annual income or down payment. As you can see from the Complaint, the [redacted]s want to buy a home in Hazel Green, Kentucky, although they presently reside, and are employed, in Wyoming. FCMA could not approve the credit without verification of income upon their move to Kentucky. FCMA cannot approve credit without verification of a customer’s ability to repay. Verification of employment in Wyoming is insufficient to show an ability to repay a loan that is conditioned upon a move to Kentucky. The [redacted]s could not satisfy this requirement despite FCMA’s efforts to work with the [redacted]s.
FCMA violated no laws or regulations in its dealings with Mr. [redacted]. FCMA prides itself on its dealings with customers and regrets that it cannot always satisfy their requests. We trust that you will find this response sufficient to respond to Mr. [redacted]’s complaint, however, please let me know if you require any additional information.
