patients working with insurance the office will bill the insurance for this procedure. This is stated clearly in a disclaimer on all of our ads however if the patient has come across an ad that does not have a disclaimer regarding this information we would very much appreciate the patient to inform us of this. In regards to resolving the patient’s complaint the office has not billed the insurance company and gladly wrote off the new patient exam and x-ray for the misunderstanding. The day of the new patient exam and x-ray the patient called back to our office and stated he didn’t want his insurance billed; the staff explained that our policy is to bill insurance for the first visit however due to the misunderstanding we did write off the balance and did not bill his insurance. Therefore he has not been charged for the first visit and still has the $158.00 to use towards his annual insurance maximum. Next, let’s address the companies policy on the economy dentures priced at $449.00 per plate. We do have ads that state we offer permanent economy dentures at $449.00 per plate which is not valid with any insurance, which is also clearly stated in our disclaimers on all ads. If the office made a mistake and the patient has an ad without this disclaimer we would be happy to give the patient the $449.00 price per plate. However if the patient saw the ad with a disclaimer stating that the $449.00 was a coupon price and could not be used with insurance then the patient would need to either allow us to bill his insurance and pay the difference or not bill insurance for his economy dentures and pay any follow up costs involved during his healing process. The office does sincerely apologize for any miscommunication or frustration that this may have caused the patient; as our main goal is high quality of care and 100% patient satisfaction.
