Respondent: Family Dry Cleaners Complaint ID No.: [redacted] Date of Complaint: 03/02/2015Dear [redacted] ***:I am writing on behalf of Family Dry Cleaners, located at [redacted] (“the respondent"), in response to Revdex.com’s (“Revdex.com”) letter dated March 3, 2015.In the letter, Revdex.com notifies the respondent of a March 2, customer complaint alleging that the respondent engaged in advertising by claiming to clean “all” garments at $per garmentThe respondent denies the allegation and submits evidence to rebut the same.Contrary to the customer's allegation, the respondent charges $to clean most, not all, garments, and the enclosed picture of the respondent's storefront confirms that it advertises and holds itself out as suchThe exception to the standard $rate applies to garments that require special care (e.g., wedding dress, leather/suede, and fabric with ornaments, spots, or stains) or garments that are significantly larger than others, such as 3/coats ($5.99) and overcoats ($6.99), and therefore warrant a reasonable increase in cleaning/handling feeAnd contrary to the customer's allegation, the foregoing reason was explained to the customer when she sought to clean her overcoat for $1.99.The respondent understands that the customer may have been unaware of the cost to clean an overcoatA history of her sporadic and infrequent visits, reflected by the enclosed three (3) invoices over a 27-month period, reveals that she has taken full advantage of the $rate for a wide range of garments (i.e., jacket, pants, skirt, dress, sweater, and scarf), but not for an overcoatHowever, the respondent did the best that itcould to inform her of its business decision to charge $for overcoats and respects her decision to refuse that service.Based on the above reasons, the respondent did not engage in advertisingPlease direct any future correspondence to me at [redacted] ***If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [redacted] Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.Cordially,**Young SI [redacted] ***

2015.In the letter, Revdex.com notifies the respondent of a March 2, 2015 customer complaint alleging that the respondent engaged in false advertising by claiming to clean “all” garments at $1.99 per garment. The respondent denies the allegation and submits evidence to rebut the same.Contrary to the customer's allegation, the respondent charges $1.99 to clean most, not all, garments, and the enclosed picture of the respondent's storefront confirms that it advertises and holds itself out as such. The exception to the standard $1.99 rate applies to garments that require special care (e.g., wedding dress, leather/suede, and fabric with ornaments, spots, or stains) or garments that are significantly larger than others, such as 3/4 coats ($5.99) and overcoats ($6.99), and therefore warrant a reasonable increase in cleaning/handling fee. And contrary to the customer's allegation, the foregoing reason was explained to the customer when she sought to clean her overcoat for $1.99.The respondent understands that the customer may have been unaware of the cost to clean an overcoat. A history of her sporadic and infrequent visits, reflected by the enclosed three (3) invoices over a 27-month period, reveals that she has taken full advantage of the $1.99 rate for a wide range of garments (i.e., jacket, pants, skirt, dress, sweater, and scarf), but not for an overcoat. However, the respondent did the best that itcould to inform her of its business decision to charge $6.99 for overcoats and respects her decision to refuse that service.Based on the above reasons, the respondent did not engage in false advertising.
