I brought five placemats to Family Cleaners to be dry cleaned, as the care instructions on the mats stated When I picked them up, they were ruined -- wrinkled, puffy, shrunken I brought them back and told them they were now useless to me They said they'd try cleaning them again, although it was obvious to me that it would be a waste of time This was the case, and I was told the manager/owner would be in touch When I hadn't heard anything three days later, I called and spoke to the owner, a most unpleasant woman, who immediately insisted that I return them to the store where I bought them; that there was a cotton lining that had not responded to the dry cleaning process (untrue, as the placemats are 100% polyester); that it was not their responsibility and therefore I would not receive a refund We have been customers for many years (which the woman had verified before speaking to me) and I was asking for a refund of the $I had been charged, hardly a large sum I tried te
