We used Falcon to unload a 16 ft. PODS unit and a 15 ft. *** truck at the PODS storage facility in Elgin, Il. We then had them re-distribute the household belongings in two 16 ft. PODS units prior to long distance shipment. Falcon did an excellent job at a very competitive price (I checked prices at a number of competitors). Brandon *. and Mike *. both worked quickly, did a great job, and were very personable. I would definitely use Falcon again if the need arose. In addition, Jason , who set everything up, was extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with.
Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad that we were able to help you with this!
Falcon moving helped me move my sofas.. they were very helpful.
Fast, efficient, courteous, and informative. Very pleased and highly recommended.
In spite of oppressive heat, the movers were careful and very efficient. They arrived on time and went right to work. Everything was handled in a professional manner.
The most courteous honest and professional movers I have ever met. You cannot go wrong with all these guys who work as a team.
Last March, I hired Falcon Movers LLC (*** Lane, Bartlett IL 60103) to move my furniture & belongings from my one-bedroom apartment to a new one 3.7 miles away.
On moving day, the two movers arrived and mentioned that the third mover was scheduled to come but had cancelled. The two seemed to be doing a good job. But later, when I started to get settled into the new place, I began to realize that there was a problem: While in Falcon’s care, some items were missing or broken. Here is a list of those items that I am aware of.
• I owned a small 4-wheeled furniture cart that I allowed the movers to use. On arrival at the new apartment, it was gone. I called Jason, Falcon’s owner, who said he didn’t have it.
• An expensive Noguchi lamp was ruined when the delicate Japanese paper was torn from the wire supports, leaving a 9-inch diameter shredded hole at the top. The lamp was in good shape when we carefully packed it and labeled it “FRAGILE, and it was absolutely irreparable when opened in the new apartment.
• There were three new tears in the delicate paper of two Chinese folding room partitions (screens) They cannot be repaired.
• A cloth-covered wardrobe used to hang and store clothes (4'x 6') was lost or stolen.
• Loveseat/bench: The movers had broken the leg off of it and had thrown it away without telling me.
• A 4' x 4' mahogany work table has large, deep X-marks freshly carved onto the top surface. They were not there before the move. All the wood furniture had nicks and minor damage.
• A life-size mirror was missing.
• A 6-foot high, white bookshelf was missing.
• A floor lamp was destroyed during the move and could not be repaired, because the steel lamp base was crushed. The lamp was 5 years old & in excellent shape; the damage was so bad that it had to have fallen off the truck or been thrown.
When I again called Jason, the owner of Falcon Moving, he told me that he knew nothing of the missing or broken items. It is strange that so many pieces of furniture could disappear from one Falcon’s truck. My assistant remembers seeing my life-size mirror in Falcon’s truck but it stayed in the truck and was not delivered to me.
It seems impossible that so many items can be lost or broken during a 20-minute trip from one house to another, with the two team members not noticing anything wrong, and with the owner unaware of any loss or breakage.
Six weeks after the move and still receiving no reply from Falcon, I sent Jason an email detailing all my possessions that had been lost or damaged. He emailed me asking if he could call me the next day to discuss the problems. I emailed him back with my phone number & good times to call. He never called. I forwarded him a copy of my previous email. No reply. In sum, Falcon’s negligence and lack of service were appalling.
We had resolved the issue about 1-2 months ago. I ended up sending Jane a check for the damages, and she had taken down the negative reviews from Yelp and Home Advisor. As far as I know, and I did speak to her afterwards, she is fine with the action that I had taken to resolve the issue.
Thank you
