I have never filed a complaint to Revdex.com before, because I understand sometimes things happenBut what I experienced with this business, particularly the owner, is absolutely illegal
I have spent hundreds of dollars at this coffee shop, in purchasing items, clothing, jewelry, and coffee
I recently had to cancel my membership with this coffee shopFirst, because I was asked to never bring my puppy in-doors -- which is absolutely fine and understandableI was told I needed a permit to do so; so I would leave my pup outside when I came inAfter a few weeks of tying my pup out, the owner of the store "Anthony" let's in a random shopper with their full-grown shedding dog, telling them it's fine to have the dog in-doorsI quit my membership immediatelyTo treat customers so unequally is not acceptable
However, what happened next was of absolute shock and dismay, and is what pushed me to write a complaintI had walked into the shop to ask for water, and I sat down talking to one of the baristas who I am friends withThere was no line, the coffee shop was not packed, nothing was being disturbedMind you, I have been into the coffee shop plenty of times after my membership, and everything was calm and fine
This time, however, it seems that out of spite, and absolute discrimination, the coffee shop owner, Anthony, tells me to get my water and leave, and that I cannot come into the coffee shop and "take up space"I get up to leave, absolutely in shock, and he yells "You are not welcome here!" in front of the few people in the shop at the time
Everyone in the coffee shop was shocked, and could not understand his behavior
There are plenty of witnesses in the coffee shop who saw this happen -- and I think this might have even been caught on videoThis happened on September **, 2015, around 10:45am (EST)
It is illegal to deny water in such a discriminatory matterI am wondering if I should pursue this through NY Civil Laws
