Faulty electrical wiring to outside lights and exterior wall sockets. Other construction flaws that were noted at delivery and not resolved.
At delivery, Park Model *** was damaged. This is a list of items that were damaged: The door was damaged at lock and did not hang or close properly. The counter tops were dented and scratched.Paint on the outside was surface had overspray from different colors. The interior walls had cracks at the seams and windows were not caulked at bottom of any window.Where water lines ran into gaps were left around pipes. Baseboards did not have trim around sheetrock areas. After receiving unit months went by before electricity was installed.Ever since AC was installed there were have been problems with air quality. The place where filter goes did not have a place to hold filter, the space only allowed for you to lay a filter in the space covering the return air. I had to tape the filter to keep it in place. Constant dusty white particles continue to come out of system even with the use of filters at the openings of interior vents.Later, local electrical company *** were contracted to install exterior light fixtures. Upon service call electrician noted no power to exterior lighting after light switch and no power to exterior outlets beyond outlet with gfi. I was told by the electrician that I had a faulty electrical wiring and needed to be checked according to wiring scheme. I contacted Service person C.Bell with some of the issues which led to receiving wiring schematic via email from *** Upon evaluation of the scheme the electrician *** and testing of line loop etc it was determined that the schematic was not correct. I then notified *** who stated that she would look into matter. Later I received phone call with C *** and Champion Home electrical person. I explained the situation to them both and was told that it sounded like an easy fix but they were not going to fix it because it was after the warranty period. I said to her that the faulty wiring came like this from the factory but because we did not get electrical done until later we did not find out until recently when electrician came to install lighting. As of today, I have not heard anything on the matter. So far the only things that have been taken care of are removal of over spray, texture cracks, adjust drawers, fix shower floor cracks, adjust lighting fixtures. The damaged counter tops could not be repaired by technician and were never fixed. Furthermore, I am a disabled veteran who lives with my wife in this park model home as primary residence. I overlooked most of the flaws because I know nothing is perfect. But I can not afford to pay for faulty wiring that could potentially be a safety concern that was created by the builder. I am only going through with my complaint because I don't want another veteran to go through the hassle of dealing with the builder not the sales part of this deal.
Please repair my faulty electrical issues that were caused at the factory so that litigation can be avoided.

Called and left message for consumer following receipt of complaint we were able to make contact today and he explained his electrical issue. Although his warranty expired on 03/04/18 we will send a technician by to check out his issue and offer our assistance.
As reported previously. Received prompt notification upon completion of complaint of electrical issue. After phone contact a service technician was scheduled within 48 hrs or so. Service technician was prompt and professional. Once on site he quickly identified problem and corrected the flaws. The wiring was installed in the wall but had not been connected properly to complete the loop. The service guy is what saved this company in my opinion. There were agreed upon damages under warranty that were discussed previously in email transaction with CB. that are yet to be addressed such as: Front door damage from factory, counter top damage that could not be fixed by service technician. Please check into warranty items that were submitted via email. Thanks for all the assistance.

floors have MANY cuts in the flooring throughout the house. 3 patch jobs already and its still coming up. Carpets have paint and basically no padding
When they cut the plastic off the floors when building it they made huge slices/cuts all throughout the house. They have had three different crews patch it and refused to let them replace the flooring when they all recommended it. Some of these cuts are 7-8 inches long, in major walk areas and in the bathrooms around water sources. The carpets have paint on it, when you walk we could feel the floor, not padding...when the crew came yesterday, they were allowed to replace one room of carpet and were supposed to cut out parts of the flooring and replace. My husband took pictures once they removed the carpet. Man, we were shocked, there were strips of all different sizes, gaps all over it, they didn't have it all the way to the wall and tacked down. It was like they just laid some scraps of padding down and cut the carpet short so it is coming away from the walls in all the roo itis in. THe other rooms feel the same way but crew said they didn't have orders for that. The patch jobs to the flooring cuts do not work and for a brand new home to arrive like that is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. We paid ALOT of money (including charges we were never informed of) also for this home and it should not be this substandard. On top of that, the dealer who sold it is utterly incompetent and crooks. They screwed up the order and our ceiling/walls aren't even merged together and there is not trim around it. WE have been fighting everyone to get our home fixed and it's been 8 months of ***. We are very disappointed in our decision to purchase from *** The floor feels weird in places under the flooring as well, so there is not telling what that looks like under there.
We want the flooring replaced, the carpet and padding all replaced and the walls/ceilings either merged or the trim we asked for put up.

In response to the consumer, the home was built as ordered from the retailer which omitted crown molding around the ceiling. This complaint was addressed during the consumer requested inspection by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
The floor covering although not assigned to any party during the state inspection we offered a settlement in good faith to resolve the discrepancy. Our cash offer was declined.
When servicing the home for their warranty issues it was noted that the consumer would like the kitchen side floor covering replaced as it had too many cuts and was not acceptable. This order was signed by the consumer in August 2018.
The same technician returned to replace one bedroom of carpet which had a bald spot and to replace the kitchen side floor covering. He was allowed to replace the carpet but not allowed to replace the floor covering. Technician stated on his service order that customer wanted all floor coverings replaced.
In an effort to resolve this flooring complaint only we again will extend our offer of the original cash settlement for the next thirty days.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
He wanted to cut out a section and put more seams in it. We didn't want to be tripping over any more seam boards. These cuts are not just on half the kitchen and dining room area. They are in every room there is flooring and they are all coming up. Carpet, the inspector saw the carpet and All three bedrooms aren't good. Replacing only one room isn't acceptable. We feel bare floor in all the rooms. There is obviously little to no padding under there in those rooms as well and it has been coming out from under the baseboards and away from the wall since the first day. So much for quality control, and standing by your product.
As as far as the molding the retailer screwed up yes, and we are still pursuing the matter with them as well. I'm disappointed that Champion Homes doesn't stand behind their homes, take more pride in their work and respect their customers better than this.
