COMPLAINT IS FROM A PATIENT THAT WAS TURNED OVER TO A COLLECTION AGENCY FOR NON-PAYMENT. THE CLAIM WAS SUBMITTED TO THE APPROPRIATE INSURANCES ACCORDING TO COMPANY POLICY, AND AFTER THEY WERE DONE PROCESSING THERE WAS A BALANCE DUE OF $375. WE...
MAILED 7 STATEMENTS TO THE PATIENT FROM THE DATES 04.22.2015 TO 10.07.2015, INCLUDING A FINAL NOTICE REGARDING BEING TURNED OVER TO COLLECTIONS. THE CONSUMER HAD AN AMPLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO CONTACT US WITH ANY QUESTIONS, CONCERNS, OR REQUESTS AT THAT TIME.
IN REGARDS TO THE UNCLAIMED REFUND FOR HER DAUGHTER'S PROCEDURE, A REFUND CHECK WAS MAILED TO THE CONSUMER ON 10.03.2012. THE CHECK WAS NEVER CASHED SO AN ADDITIONAL LETTER WAS MAILED TO THE CONSUMER ON 02.09.2015 ADVISING THEM THEY HAD 120 DAYS TO CONTACT US TO RE-ISSUE THE REFUND OR IT WOULD BE TURNED OVER TO THE STATE AS UNCLAIMED PROPERTY. THE CONSUMER AGAIN FAILED TO RESPOND SO REFUND WAS TURNED OVER TO THE STATE, AS MANDATED BY STATE LAW.

We do have issues getting mail our mail box has gotten tipped over more than once, and the statements looked like insurance claims were still in process. If they aren't getting a response from a customer why would they not make a call and/or leave a message if they haven't gotten a response. Still doesn't explain why they take copies of your medical and won't file with medical unless you specifically ask, any reasonable person would assume they would file will all insurance with our having to ask them to do so when they take that information from you. When I called and asked why they didn't, they said because we didn't ask for it to me, and said I assumed since they took copies of our medical insurance it would be filed as well and if we would have know that wasn't the case and we has to specifically ask for it to be filed we would have. I asked for them to please try and file with our medical and was told they wouldn't even make an effort to do so because it had been a year. Which is horrible customer service. All I'm asking for is them to file a claim with both medical insurances as well, I think it speaks volumes of their lack of customer service and care not to do so.
