Review: [redacted], the contractor, was hired to renovate my home in December 2014. He was hired to paint, level floors, and install new floors, to name a few. On February 19, 2015, he was terminated for various reasons (length of time taken to complete the project, lack of professionalism, and sloppy work). One day during renovations, I walked into my home and after seeing [redacted] laying tile, immediately noticed they were not properly aligned and instructed him to stop. We spent more than 30 minutes discussing the tiles and he kept trying to convince me that they were right because of spacers, but it was clear the tiles were not aligned properly.Aside from the tile work in the kitchen, add-on area, and both baths, [redacted] was also responsible for leveling, and installing hardwood flooring. Once the new contractor came in, the tile path that [redacted] started was continued. At that time, [redacted] completed 80% of the work that he was paid for by PrimeLending, the bank that loaned me the money to purchase and renovate the property. At the time of the inspection by the bank, there was no grout, and tile was missing from specific areas that I instructed [redacted] to remove. There was no grout, but the tile was sealed to the floor. I expressed my unhappiness with the tile work several times. The only way to repair the tile work was to demolish what was done by [redacted], buy new materials, and pay labor charges to the new team. Unfortunately, my budget didn't allow for it to be redone because it should have been properly done the first time. So, once completed, the entire tile work, started and 80% completed by [redacted], was a disaster and still is.My new contractor did not do anything to the hardwood flooring; however, since living in the home, I've noticed MANY "soft spots" in the floors and it isn't properly leveled. I would like [redacted] to pay $12,095, which includes: demolition $3,000, leveling $1,995, installation of sub-flooring $3,500, installation of flooring $1,600, and materials $2,000.Desired Settlement: $12,095
