Do not purchase a starter from these people because they sell inferior starters and will ask you to send in your faulty starter purchased from them only to say that you tampered with the starter!!! I should of read the reviews on them before purchasing!!
Ordered a new ignition switch for my *** *** *** *** the switch I received was SKU *** which was suppose to be the right oneOne of the wires was to short and had to be spliced to fitUpon hooking up the switch did not work, checked continuity found switch was NOT wired correctlyCould not return as I had ALTERED one wire on the switch to make fitDon't know who does the quality control on these switches but they could have easily been wired right instead of wrongTook my old switch to a Locksmith and had re-keyed which confirmed the NEW switch I ordered from Discount Starter and Alternator was not wired correctlyBuyers need to be aware and know these switches are not such a bargain if you end up throwing them in the trash
Horrible company with horrible customer service, despite his whole "4 years of customer service experience" they do not know what service is. Of course the angry little man will come up with some excuse. The fact is whatever the problem is the solution is not to call names, swear at then Hang up on a customer. Doesn't say much about the owner to keep [redacted] around. BEWARE. RESEARCH ALL THE NEGITIVE FEEDBACK ON THIS COMPANY (including all the alias they use)
Starter broke after less than ten engagements. Contacted vendor for replacement - product has a one year warranty. Vender determined, without seeing the part, that my [redacted] had to have backfired causing damage to the starter. In the three years I've owned the bike, it has never backfired - ever.
So I went from a starter that lasted for THIRTY YEARS to a starter that lasted TWO DAYS. Alas, vender decided I was wrong. Apparently my perfectly running engine caused the starter fail. Unbelievable.
I would avoid discount stater at all costs.
