Scheduling the pick-up: We emailed Maryam over 5 times to schedule our pick-up and delivery time without a response. When we did get a response finally after calling E-Z movers multiple times, she indicated that our pick up day would be July 2nd from 1-3 PM and our delivery date would be July 5th or 6th at the latest.
Pick-up: Our pickup was scheduled for 1-3 PM and the movers arrived closer to 5 without any advance notice earlier in the day that they would be arriving late. When I went to pay with credit card, my bank would not accept the charge because E-Z Movers has such a bad reputation (over 100 complaints with the Revdex.com).
Delivery: Our scheduled delivery was July 5th -6th and that was the reason we chose E-Z Movers. Our belongings arrived almost 10 DAY LATE on July 14th. I called the office every day during this time for an update and was NEVER given an explanation for the delay. Maryam did not return any of my calls and we incurred expenses throughout the 10 days because we were not planning on being separated from our belongings for that time. When I finally did get a call about the delivery date I was told "It's coming in the next couple days, but I don't want to ruin the surprise" - appalling
customer service.
Move in: The day we moved into our apartment the truck showed up with ONE mover 3 hours late at 5 PM. Over the next 8 hours he moved out entire apartment in by himself - job which would have take a quarter of the time with two people. I even began moving my own things (a service that I paid for) at one point to speed up the process. At one point in the move the fire department knocked on our door because the mover had started a fire in the street from a discarded cigarette. The move did not complete until 1 AM.
Damage: I have take the pictures below and documented the dollar amounts associated with each.
