Review: Company listed on [redacted] a 1957 Chevy Belair with a 327 V-8 with double hump heads. Company also represented the auto to have only surface rust on floor braces and that no sheet metal needed to be replaced. I paid $16,000 plus $1,150 shipping for the auto represented to me as above. Once I received the auto, I researched double hump heads and found the casting numbers on the heads to not match. I also found that I would need to replace four floor braces which are rusted through. In addition, I found three locations that need sheet metal repair. I contacted the Company via certified mail and the Company responded via email that I should contact the seller. Our entire transaction was handled through [redacted] at ez Auction, we wired funds to [redacted] d/b/a EZ Auction and we were not informed of any seller other than [redacted] until after we paid for the auto. A copy of the Company's email is attached.Desired Settlement: I would like reimbursement for the double hump heads, the floor braces, and the sheet metal repair. I researched the cost of double hump heads. The heads cost about $400, shipping is $75 and to install is $150 for a total of $625. The 4 floor braces cost $224.80. This totals $849.80. The sheet metal will cost $280 plus labor. I am willing to accept $849.80 as settlement and I will pay out of pocket the cost of sheet metal and labor to install the sheet metal.

Upon receiving Mr. [redacted]'s letter concerning the 1957 Chevy, I immediately called the owner of the car, Mr. [redacted] and he responded with he would NOT give them a dime back on the items mentioned. That they still got a good deal and that's that.I then wrote the [redacted]'s with this response....Dear Mr. & Mrs [redacted],I received your letter today and was surprised to hear of the issues discussed. The items of concern were told to me by Mr [redacted] and passed on to you or any other potential buyer in describing the car.I would suggest at this time you send any and all future correspondence to Mr. [redacted] directly as he was the owner of the car and instructed me to describe the car as such:Mr. [redacted] cell ###-###-####home ###-###-####Regards.....[redacted] EZ Auction

Response:
I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
My complaint (which seems to be overlooked and ignored) is that claims made by the seller regarding the condition of the vehicle were untrue. I have attached written statements made by the seller in the attachment above. The seller has not denied making the statements regarding the condition of the vehicle. I believe this falls under the Deceptive Trade Practices Law of Virginia.
