Initial Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2016/01/21) */
To whom so ever it may concern:
I saw the patient, referred to here as *sT for privacy reasons, on October 20, She had pain, redness and watering of the eyes with contact lensesShe was seen once prior to this, in our clinic, by my
partner Dr*** for contact lens evaluationAt that time, she had an "ancient pair" of eye glasses and was given a new prescription for glasses in July The Contact lenses she was wearing in July were also old and were no longer made by the manufacturer and so she had new contact lenses ordered after a new set of measurements were done
On October 20, she had multiple abrasions on both eyes and also was seen licking the contact lens remover, plunger, prior to taking out the contact lenses in clinic, a habit that may lead to infection of the corneaI examined her and told her that she had many scratches on both her corneas and had a high risk of serious infections on both eyes and to hold contact lens wear until the eyes healShe did not have an updated pair of glasses and her vision was very poor with her old pairShe was advised not to drive with her poor vision and to follow up in the eye clinic the next morning or to call if she had any problemsShe was given antibiotic eye ointment four times a dayShe was seen again the next day, October 21, 2015, and her eye surface seemed much improvedShe was asked to use the eye ointment at night and to get an updated pair of glasses to wearIt was explained again about proper hygiene with contact lens wear to the patientThe contact lens technician was going to work with the vendor and get her an updated pair of contact lenses at the earliestIn conclusion, it cannot be ruled out that *sT's eye troubles are not the result of improper contact lens care and usage, therefore her treatment should remain her liability and not that of the contact lens manufacturer or the clinic
If *s T does not feel she should be responsible for the professional services received in our clinic she may wish to seek the care of another clinicIn this case we will forgive her outstanding balance and transfer her record to the clinic of her choosingSome options are listed below

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 15, 2016/01/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Although I do not agree with their version of the circumstances (i.ewhen I visited their office I did NOT have any issues/abrasions I had been wearing their new lenses they prescribed since August, these issues/abrasions occurred after putting in the newest contact lenses they ordered for me) I do appreciate their forgiving my outstanding balance
