Mr. [redacted] brought in his 1999 GSX Seadoo pwc on March 3, 2014. He had stripped the head bolts very severely, he said the head was leaking. We told him that the Seadoo two cycle engines don't hold up very well after 10 years and did not recommend putting money into it. He wanted to go ahead with repairs any way. We had to replace the cylinder where the bolts were stripped, the cost of the cylinder was $425,00 He also wanted the jet pump oil replaced, cost $99.00. Total cost of repair with taxes was $1160.88. Mr. [redacted] brought it back a week later after picking it up with the pwc leaking exhaust fumes at the exhaust manifold. We tried to reuse as many parts as possible including the exhaust gasket in which we thought would hold up, it did not. We replaced the exhaust gasket at no cost. Mr. [redacted] then brought the pwc back again stating that the the unit was smoking excessively we ran the unit in the parking lot, it did smoke, it is a two cycle engine. The only oil in the engine is mixed with the fuel. Therefore the only remaining cause of smoke would be a fuel issue. Which could be carburetor issues or fuel, we told him to try replacing the fuel and let us know. Weeks later Mr. [redacted] came in and said his engine was trashed, we never verified any of that, so we don"t know what happened to his engine. Since we did not see the pwc at that time we do not bare any recourse.PS No manufacture produced any two cylce engine pwc's since 10 years ago, they are all four cycle's, way more superior. If Mr. [redacted] want's some sort of compensation, We have a 2008 Yamaha four stroke pwc worth &6000.00 he can have for &4000.00 and a 4 month warranty. [redacted]
