This place is awesome such great service and great people that work here very knowledgeable and gets the job done right the first time
I purchased a lift when I purchased my 2019 GMC 2500HD. The dealership used Extreme to install the lift. 1 year later the truck squeaks like crazy. I took it back to Extreme to inspect it. They have me 2 quotes...1 necessary, 1 recommended... adding up to over $3300. Basically replacing the entire lift plus some. It didn't make sense to me so I left and took it to another offroad shop with great reviews. They inspected it and said all that was wrong was a failed bushing in 1 upper control arm. On top of that they told me not to buy one but call the manufacturer. This is a malfunction and must likely they would replace it for free. I called and they immediately sent me a new set. So instead of being taken advantage of and spending $3300, I only have to pay for the labor of replacing just the control arms. Absolutely pathetic and unethical!
Dear Amanda, we have tried reaching out to you to clarify your complaint but have been unable to reach you or leave a message. Your lift kit was installed for the dealership in which case we have to follow dealership warranty guidelines which is 3 year or 36,000 miles, of which your vehicle was out of mileage warranty. On the necessary quote there were only three parts for your vehicle of which two of them were stock OEM parts. On the recommended quote of the seven items listed only one was for the aftermarket lift kit, everything else was stock OEM parts. We did an inspection for you to determine what suspension parts on your vehicle were worn out or had more than average play in them. We explained all of these options to you and even waived the inspection fee that you were told you were going to be charged when you made the appointment to get your vehicle inspected. We tried being as fair as possible with you and told you to take as much time as you needed and we would be here to help you in any way we could. We also explained to you that on 3/4 ton vehicles it is very common for these FACTORY OEM parts to wear out. We did a full suspension inspection for you not just on the lift kit that was installed for the dealership when you purchased the vehicle. To simply tell you only the parts on the lift kit that were worn out like another shop may have done, and not the rest of the suspension when there were clear issues would be unethical of us, as customer safety is our number one priority. However making false claims online because you perhaps were confused as to the full scope of the inspection we performed is not right. We have tried reaching out to you multiple times to explain this but you have ignored our attempts.
l purchased a ford *** from my friend who had all the after market work done at Extreme when he purchased it. Even though he was not happy with some of the work they did I wanted to make sure everything was installed at the same place to make sure everything lined up and I had no problems with using multiple truck shops... boy was I wrong. I started out by purchasing an iron cross bumper front and back with painted to match the exact color of the truck, amp research power steps grill and emblems painted to match,as well as the titan xl tank doubling my fuel size to 50gal for a total of $11k. They have you wait till everything is in stock before they will let you drop off the truck to have work started so I did and once they started it took them over a week to tell me my truck was ready to be picked up instead of the 3 days they quoted(having to rent a truck for work). Though as soon as I get less then two blocks down the road my truck stalls and the engine dies in the middle of the street so I wait and get towed back to the shop then they work on it for an hour and they say everything is good to go so I try again and less then block down the road the truck dies again. so I am towed back to the shop and told to leave it with them so they can work on it all the next day. 24 hours pass and I go to pick up my truck and they say everything is good and fixed, I drive the next day and whenever the tank got under half the truck stalled out in the middle of the fast lane on the high way. I have to get towed to the nearest gas station to fill up and bring it back to the shop the next day. At that point Austin says the sump pump I paid for is not enough and we need to add a hose on the front of the tank as well and keeps it for another day. Mean while when I was sold the iron cross steel bumper with color matched paint I was told rock chips would be very hard to get and it would last a very long time though within 5 days the bumper was covered in chips and specs of paint missing. So I drop it back off at the shop again and he charges me $750 to add touch up paint in the holes and put a clear wrap on top of it, they also have to fix the truck stalling issue and they tell me they solved it again. The next day passes and I get to less then half a tank in the middle of the high way and the truck dies again which at this point I’m desperate to get it fixed because I’m scared for my safety. So it goes back in and this time they say the only way to fix it is to take off the $800 fast fuel system they installed on the truck because they say they do no work together and titan tanks knew which means I lost out on the $200 for the sump pump as well that is just now a plug in my tank( I did not receive a refund or an apology even though they knew what the truck had on it before they ordered parts and worked on it.They did not bother to ask about the total of two and half weeks I did not have my truck for work and I had to rent one while they continued to guess to fix the problem they created. At the same time my viper alarm starts acting up and the alarm goes off all the time for no reason and they have tried to fix it every time I bring my truck into the shop saying the same thing that it is fixed when as soon as I get home it starts to go off. they tried fixing the viper alarm 6 different days each time unsuccessful leaving them with the only option of telling me it would cost $599 for them to replace the brain cpu and the problem would be fixed that it went bad. I refused when the whole system cost $650. Also during all this going on I had an issue with the bluetooth in my truck and the only way was to tune it back to stock with ezlynx and let the dealership fix it but a slight problem was that my ezlynx would not connect to my phone because they said the signal from the viper was interfering with it and there was no way to be fixed so they installed a switch to kill the fuse on the viper whenever I need to use tuner instead of having them work together. Which turned out to be a lie when after they ripped me off by charging me $200 just to replace the stock fuel filters which is more expensive than a dealership I finally decided to find someone else to work on the truck. I found a gentleman by the name of Hector at a different shop who in 45mins fixed every problem I had and it has been working perfect ever since. He was able to get my viper alarm to stop going off randomly, he was able to get my exlynx and viper to work at the same time, and he was able to get my amp steps to not retract every time you unlock or lock the truck which Austin said it was impossible to do at Extreme.I highly recommend to stay far away from getting any work done from Extreme off road the shop is all looks and zero skill or craft. They are extremely rude whenever you talk to them on the phone and they make you feel like your business is not important. The real problem is that Austin could never admit when he’s team did not know how to do something and they would just try to wing it. This has cost me weeks of my time and thousands of dollars I will never get back, not to mention all most dying in the middle of the highway more than once.
