July 22, 2017 - we ordered dining room furniture. Table 44x84(3 leaves, side board, 8 upholstered chairs and 2 leather end chairs. Total bill was $14,447.05. We payed down payment of $2720.51. Furniture delivery date kept being delayed due to finishing issues at the shop - staining of the table had to be redone several times before it was delivered but we were assured that it was being resolved. Nov. 19, 2017 - Furniture arrived (not including the two end chairs). Payment of $10,426.54 was made and were told that the two leather chairs would be delivered asap. Since furniture was delivered on a very dark rainy day we were not able to see the defects until an hour later when the sun came out. Table had multiple issues including: several different shades of stains, white cloudiness, only stored one leaf when we were told it would store all 3 leaves, stain runs etc. The sideboard finish was rough with many stain runs. We called *** immediately and addressed issues. *** agreed that the finished product was not in acceptable condition - reported issues with his workshop and staff but assured us that he would get it fixed. Asked us to pick up furniture after Christmas to which we agreed. By the End of January we called *** since he had called to pick up the furniture. Again he told us he was having issues with his shop/staff. February 24, 2018 - table, sideboard and 1 chair picked up - ETA - 3 weeks for re-delivery. Two months passed and still no word from ***. We started calling. May 2018 - we were told he was ordering parts for the table. June 2018 - we were asked to visit shop but no work had yet been done on the furniture - only staining was addressed. July 03, 2018 - we were asked to visit again. Table top still a mess. Refinishing did not work and *** failed to inspect table himself before calling us in. Once again he agreed that this was unacceptable, asked for another chance and promised to fix it. We agreed to give him one more chance but told him that we wanted our money back if he could not fix. July 13, 2018 - *** called us again. He assured us that the furniture was now perfect. Furniture is worse than before - it was all disassembled, table top had embedded finger prints underneath the stain, sideboard had deep scratches in it due to mishandling, still had stain runs. We asked for our money back as we have now endured this for a year and *** is unable to fix furniture. *** blamed all issues on his staff and the landlord who won't fix his shop properly.Several calls and emails to *** were made after this. I even visited showroom trying to speak with *** to get refund - I told them I would not leave until problem was resolved. *** called the police to escort me out and later threatened to charge me with 'hostage taking' because I happened to be in the showroom alone with one of his staff waiting for him to come and resolve issue. We kept trying to resolve issue over email. July 28, 2018 - *** emailed letter giving us two options - 1. He would fix again and the two outstanding leather chairs would be at no cost. 2. We would pay a restocking fee of #3,267.00 and he would refund $9,880.05 in two payments by the end of August. We chose option 2 - refund - but asked for clarification on the year as his letter did not include '2018' just August. No answer from *** so we asked our lawyer to write him a letter re-stating his terms but asking for a 'good faith' payment of $2,964.02 when he picked up the 7 remaining chairs at our house and for a final payment by August 31, 2018 as he had offered. No response from ***. No refund was received by end of August. We emailed *** again at the beginning of September asking for our refund. He wants to pickup up chairs but we don't agreed unless he provides payment. We feel that *** is not an honest man. We want our refund as per the option *** offered when he pick he picks up the chairs.

Desired Outcome

We want *** to provide us with the refund option he offered. $9880.05. We agreed to a restocking fee that we don't feel was our responsibility but we want this resolved.
