Express Appliances

On December 31st 2019 *** home warranty dispatched a Express Appliances technician to fix a igniter issue on my cook top for the 3rd time. After drilling and knocking for a while the technician decides that he was not able to fix it and in turn he will send in a replacement request to ***. I did not hear from any one for a few days at that point I contacted both *** and Express Appliances I realized that no one wants to take responsibility. *** finally decides that they will send me a check for a little over $200.00 to fix the igniter, but I refuse to accept that payment because I know the damage on my cook top was more than what they were offering. I made numerous attempts to get this resolved and *** and Express Appliances keep bringing me in circles. My cook top has 5 burners however, due to the fact that we are smelling gas and also experience large flames coming up in our face while cooking we avoid using the burners. We are using a hotplate to cook. I consider this very poor business ethics for *** home warranty and Express Appliances both parties should be held liable for this damage. I even suggest that someone come take a look and give suggestions they refuse to come back out and look at it after they indicate that we have 3 months warranty on their repair job. If they were not able to fix it they should indicate that clearly instead of coming to cause more damage and then refusing to address it. They cause a hazardous situation and then refuse to fix it.
