While we did receive the reimbursement check, the policy was never once pointed out to us As I mentioned, we did not come in by way of researching this motel on the internet We were walk-ins The sign regarding no refund policy was NEVER pointed out to us, nor was it discussed Nor was it discussed or mentioned that there was a two night minimum An exception has to be made for those that are "walk-ins" and not just for management to rely on what is printed on the internet At the very least, they needed to point out that we needed to read their policy We are grateful that the money was returned, but want it understood that for those that do not make advance registrations and just "walk in" they need to step up to the plate and point out their policy It could have made the difference in our seeking to "walk-in" to another establishment there as there are MANY in Old Orchard Beach
