We have spoken to Maribel about this situation on numerous occasions. To start, the $2000 was refunded this morning and Maribel is aware of that. When we presented Maribel with an approval we explained that the approval was with a service contract and gap insurance...
policy which is provided by the bank Credit Acceptance. Credit Acceptance rates each customer by risk. Having a gap insurance policy and extended service contract lowers the risk with the bank which enables customers to get into a vehicle with lower down payments. We did not say this was a requirement to take, we explained that if we remove both products (which we offered) then the down payment needed by the bank would be increased. Maribel said she did not want to proceed and we initiated the deposit with our office. The delay was do to the holiday week. Please feel free to reach out to me with any further questions.
