Review: The gentleman ([redacted]) who owns/runs this business is NOT dependable. He fixed a lamp for me in July, 2014. I paid him $90.00. After 6 months, the lamp no longer would turn on. I called him in January, 2015, and said it was no longer working, and could he take a look at it. He said, "I'll call you back in 15 minutes." I never heard from him. I kept calling and leaving messages, and he finally called back. On February 4, 2015, he came to my home to look at the lamp. I gave him a $20.00 bill for the house call (my choice to do that, since the lamp was too heavy for me to carry to his shop). He said, "It looks like it needs a new switch. I'll have to order one." I told him that I would be out of town from March 11-22, and that I'd call him to make an appointment for him to fix the lamp after I got home. I called him several times to make this appointment, but he didn't call back, SO I called and said, "[redacted], could we settle this matter about my lamp. Could you either refund the $120.00 I have given you so far, or come and fix my lamp." He finally called back and we set May 7 (TODAY) before noon as the day he would come and pick up my lamp. I called him on May 6 (yesterday), leaving a reminder message for our appointment (for today). HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK and HE NEVER SHOWED UP AT MY HOME. I don't understand it. A friend of mine recommended him, and she was satisfied with his work. He seems like a very nice gentleman, but he hasn't treated me very well as a customer.Desired Settlement: I think I am due at least HALF of what I paid this gentleman, which would be $60.00. I also think he should receive a letter from the Revdex.com which talks about his LACK of dependability.I FOUND HIS E-MAIL ADDRESS: lightdoctor1.comHis business card/flyer also says: "*A division of EXCLUSIVE LIGHTING GALLERY

Response:
To whom this may concern:I repaired a vintage stitchery floor lamp for Ms. [redacted] I really didn't want to take the job because the floor lamp was old and I knew the parts was going to be a task. I Should have went with my first mind. but she was very nice, so I took the job. She told me she really loved the lamp! The switch lasted for about 6 months. she did call but at the time I was going thru some personal matters and I didn't handle this matter well. That doesn't mean I am undependable, I been in business for over 15 years with no complaints and the majority of my business are referrals. This is totally my fault and for that I am sorry! I will apologize for my lack of dependability in this matter. This is a big lesson learned! Also I will refund her $60 of her payment Plus $20 total of $80 I could mail it or drop it off, what ever she wants. Thanks,[redacted]
