this occasion the level of service the customer received was unacceptable. There seemed to be multiple complications for this particular project that occurred and we apologize for the inconvenience she experienced.
Regarding the scheduling:
Unfortunately, this industry is weather permitting. With the multiple rain days this last month, it has complicated project start dates tremendously. This however is no excuse why the owner was not notified prior to day of commencement. Replacing a driveway can be completed in one day if the inspection same day. It should of been communicated that the project could technically take three days to complete. Inspections periods can sometimes be delayed so we typically tell clients it is: One day for removal, one day for inspection, and one day for installation. It seems lack of office communications are responsible for this mishap.
Regarding the permit applications / Inspections.
Every village has different requirements, rules, and regulations when it comes to driveway replacements. As much as we strive to be compliant with every village code, there are occasions when mistakes are made and need to be corrected. When those mistakes are made, we do our best to resolve every complication that occurs to village specifications. In the last 10 years, we have paved hundreds of driveways in the chicagoland area and have not failed final compliance once yet.
On this particular occasion, the village requirements were not followed and we had to resolve the inspectors issue for compliance. With the correction completed, another mistake occurred. Our pave crew completed a "quick fix" on restoring the grass effected by the installation. The customer expressed dissatisfaction with the repairs and we promised to restore the grass properly. That was completed last week and the owner expressed approval for the correction and an end to the dispute.
We apologized for the inconvenience to the owner, and she stated that she would remove this complaint from the Revdex.com No credit, funds, or free service was offered for the delay and inconvenience.
We apologise for the annoyance that this may have caused to the owner. It is simply unacceptable for the number of mishaps that occurred to her on this project. We will actively work to improve service levels so an occurrence such as this does not happen again.
