In no way was his written complaint motivation for our extending his warranty period. The reason we decided to warranty this repair was due to our evaluation of the part failure. Indeed the seal in our opinion should last longer than the 39,000 miles. We believe there is possibly an installation error that caused the premature failure. We negociated with the customer to pay half of the cost to repair the failed seal.
