I purchased [redacted] kitchen cabinets from Evanston Lumber approximately June I worked with one of their designers and made it very clear that I needed a kitchen that was rugged as I bad two boys and I cooked a lot SHe was a nice woman but very young and I suspect inexperiencedWithin years the cabinets near wet areas ( the sink cabinet, the garbage dispenser cabinet and the dishwasher panel) began to deteriorate The [redacted] began to swell and the paint chipped off I contacte Evanston lumber and told them of the problem and they told me they didn't use [redacted] for wet areas anymore because it didn't hold up I find it hard to believe that they didn't know that would be an issue [redacted] has been arounfd for a long time I wish I would have known that and I could have purchased wood faced cabinets for the wet areasIn addition, the designer made a mistake with the cabinet that went over the range and housed the fan She ordered a cabinet that was too short and therefore the height between the too of the range and the bottom of the fan was to wide, thus voiding the warranty of the fanThey have been supremely unhelpful I have sent pictures, spoken to their nee designer and stopped by No one has offered to help in any way I would buy from them again
